Last year, BMW decided that it is finally time for its Mini Range to get an update. Like its other smaller sized siblings, the 2016 Mini Countryman will likely receive extensive refreshments that will affect the car’s exterior, interior and under the hood features. To combat its rivals like Audi Q1, this car will acquire a more muscular overall body structure and elegant styling. It will also excel performance wise with a new and improved engine.
2016 Mini Countryman Interior and Exterior Changes
The interior theme of this vehicle will deviate from the ordinary and receive a huge dial in the middle of its dashboard. We are not sure whether there will be refined leather based seating arrangements, but this car will surely receive a host of modern day technology features. The standard edition will have leather wrapped steering wheel, auto climate control and satellite navigation. It might also have connectivity solutions like Bluetooth and USB ports to keep up in sync with Smartphone based car utilities.
The 2016 Mini Countryman was spotted being tested in Germany with its exterior being covered with black and yellow camouflage. Although we doubt if it features any drastic change in its platform, it would surely have a host of improvements to talk about.
The front of this car will sport a newly designed look that bears resemblance to that of a Mini Hatchback. You can expect a chrome outlined grille that is bigger in size, larger air intakes and front bumpers, modified head and taillights with employ Xenon and LED for main clusters. At first glimpse, the car did look slightly larger than its predecessor, which will allow more cabin space for comfortable seating of its passengers. Its rear seats will also get more room as there has been news of 450 litres of more space. Thus, we can understand that whatever 2016 Mini Countryman lacks inside, it more than makes up with its exterior design.
